I am in absolute love with this globe. Not just because this is the first one of the series created by me but because I love the way bright vibrant blue colors of the ocean are amplifying the continents which are covered in a thin layer of copper, somewhat rusty & somewhat shimmery.
I always wanted to create an Artistic Globe which offered a fresh perspective; something which is not too loud yet different enough to catch people’s attention.
There are some amazing globe sculptures around the world which are completely mesmerizing, they have a character; a persona but when it comes to globe gifts and mementos, the majority of them are so standard in their outlook that they just merge with the surroundings and go unnoticed as if they don’t exist at all.
That’s a shame for gifts and mementos must draw people’s attention. They must be a perfect conversation starter. “Oh, that’s beautiful… where did you get this from?”
This globe is my first, but I am sure I will be making many more combinations… for my ‘fusion globe’ series.
We have an array of vibrant colors and bright metals so why limit my imagination?
