Recognition domain is no different.

Lots of companies are putting constant efforts to introduce or ramp up their efforts for Informal & Instant recognition again it’s not enough but yes its started and for all the good reasons.

  • For one Informal Recognition costs less… in fact far lesser than a formal recognition program or an incentive policy…
  • It has a much deeper impact on team members and keeps everyone happier for it is something you do every day.

But Yes Informal Recognition comes from the heart.

You can put some amount of system in place but ultimately it’s about individual efforts and how people act in the moment.

In fact, Dale Carnegie in his book ‘How to make friends and influence people’ talked at great length about the importance of instant recognition. This nifty little book probably is still the second most popular book after The Holy Bible.

Dale carnegie’s thoughts and ideas are as relevant today as they were 75 years back.

So bring together a group of good hearts within your company. Think about how you can facilitate and encourage team members to instantly appreciate team and co-workers when they do good work?

Make good work Visible.

Encourage the use of Thank You’s“, “Wow, that was great work”, “You are awesome…. amazing work”, into everyday work and experience the difference.
