At Pinnacle we have been making engraved coffee mugs since 2000. In fact this was our very first product.
I know coffee mugs are done to death but our engraved mugs are stilled liked and ordered by our clients even after 16 years. They are my personal favourites too. May be I am more emotionally connected to it for coffee mugs were one of the first things I started engraving on when we got our machine setup.
The lure and the feel of crisply engraved text in off white color set against a plain dark color coffee mug cannot be ignored.
In fact what I like even more an engraved white porcelain coffee mug. The branding is so subtle that its almost invisible, since it is white of white. Unfortunately its not commercially viable for most companies don’t like the logo or branding to be so subtle but surely some day I will introduce this.
When we engrave on a coffee mug we are actually removing the top color coating on the coffee mug and revealing the inside bare white mug as per the artwork. It is all done by hand and there perfect craftsmanship is a must.This is quite a labor intensive process as one mug is engraved at a time. However what you get at the end is a beautiful piece of art which will not fade with time.
Engraving comes out best when done on a a dark color mug as the sharp contrast between the dark outer color and white bare mug makes the artwork stand out.
